The largest urban wilderness in the country, Forest Park
is accessible off I-5 (heading North). Continue up NE Thurman
and follow it to its end to reach the portal of Forest Park.
The paved walkway at the edge of the wilderness has numerous

Take Ramp (left) onto I-405 (Stadium Fwy.) (I-405/St. Helens/Seattle)
At exit 3, turn left onto ramp (US-30 / St. Helens) 0.4

Road name changes to US-30 (Columbia River Highway)
Take Ramp (Right) onto US-30 (Columbia River Highway)(Vaughn
Street) 0.3 miles
Turn Left (South onto NW 23rd Avenue) 0.1 miles
Turn Right (West) onto NW Thurman Street - 1.5 miles Parking is available on NW Thurman. We will meet
at the drinking fountain adjacent to the largest Forest
Park sign.
