HIKE
We'll hike up a wild, wooded canyon to the highest point in town with 360-degree views across the city and to the mountains. The hike is about 3.5 miles round-trip, half of it uphill (some of it steep) and should last about 2 hours. There is a drinking fountain on top of Council Crest, but we encourage you to bring extra water along too. Directions: From downtown Portland, drive south on Broadway over I-405, and then veer right onto SW 6th Ave., following the blue "H" signs to OHSU. Stay straight through three lights in the next half mile, eventually passing two large concrete water towers on your right. Here, where the road cuts back to the left at the base of Marquam Hill, turn right into a small parking lot for the "Marquam Nature Shelter." Or, via Tri-Met, take Bus 8 to the intersection of SW Terwilliger Blvd. and Sam Jackson Park Road and then walk 1/4 mile to the nature shelter. We'll meet at the nature shelter. ____________________________________________________________ DINNER Be
our guest for pizza, salad and soft drinks at the Multnomah
Village location of the Lucky
Lab Public House We'll
see you there!
