Professor
Hecox, an economist in the Colorado College Environmental Program
and faculty director of the CC State of the Rockies Project, will
present an illustrated overview of “Colorado College: Still
On the Frontier in the Rockies?” touching upon the importance
of location as a key dimension to the character of CC and students’
academics, field trips, recreation, and volunteer service. Questions
and answers as well as discussion will follow. Hecox, A CC graduate
on the faculty for 40 years, earned his Ph.D. in economics from
Syracuse University and has held positions as a Fulbright Scholar,
consultant for the World Bank, U.S. Agency for International Development
and National Science Foundation, U.S. Dept. of Energy and Colorado
Dept. of Natural Resources.
