Come stretch your mind and body at Rio del Mar!

Once again Bob '61 and Meryl Selig open their Santa Cruz beach house to Bay Area alumni and parents for a "one-day block."

Professors Peggy Berg (drama/dance) and Jonathan Lee (philosophy), who co-teach the popular CC course, “The Theory and Practice of Yoga,” will be our guides as we explore philosophical ideas developed centuries ago in the context of the equally venerable psycho-physical practice of yoga. Jonathan will lead discussions on the opening chapters of the “Bhagavad Gita,” while Peggy will lead an introductory Iyengar Yoga course, stressing the meditative potential of certain basic postures and breathing techniques.

In between discussion with Professors Berg and Lee, participants will enjoy meals prepared by John Chalik '67.

Thirty people may spend the night and enjoy the discussion, Saturday meals and Sunday brunch. Non-alumni guests will be limited to one. No children, please.
