Please join us for a special
Colorado College Chicago Loop Architecture Tour
led by Geoffrey Baer of WTTW Channel 11 (PBS)

This will be a walking tour of the Chicago Loop and will include both historic and modern skyscrapers and portions on the L. This event is made possible by the Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF).

Meet at 12: 45 p.m. at the ArchiCenterShop in the Santa Fe Building

The tour will be from 1 – 3 p.m.
We’ll gather for coffee afterwards

CAF Members - free, Non-members - $15, Senior and Student - $12.

Our tour guide:
Geoffrey Baer is an Emmy Award-winning producer for WTTW Channel 11 (PBS). He is best known for the popular “TV tours” he writes and hosts for WTTW. These programs highlight the architecture and history of the Chicago area. They include Chicago By Boat: The New River Tour, Chicago’s Loop: A Walking Tour, Chicago’s Lakefront, and Chicago by ‘L’” Touring the Neighborhoods.

Tour highlights: Louis Sullivan’s Carson Pirie Scott store, the Rookery by Burnham and Root with its gorgeous lobby by Frank Lloyd Wright, The soaring art deco Chicago Board of Trade, the austere Federal Center by Mies Van Der Rohe and the Marquette Building with Tiffany mosaics in the lobby.
