Noon – 5:30 p.m.
There will be a walking tour of the island with one of the park rangers
to learn about the history of Spectacle and the harbor as a whole.
Questions? Contact Carrah
Malone ’98 - (617) 388-3760.
We will be leaving on the Harbor Express ferry from Long Wharf
(on the Columbus Park side of the Marriott) at noon and returning
around 5:30 p.m.
If you want to head back early, a boat to Boston runs once every half
hour.
Spectacle Island has a life guarded beach, 5 miles of walking trails,
a cafe and visitor's center.
A shuttle boat to George's Island and Lovell's Island leaves every
hour
for people who might like to see some of the other islands.
Please note: as Spectacle Island is both a public park and an island
facility,
you may not bring alcohol and must carry out any trash you bring to
the island.
