Dear '88 Classmates,

Your reunion committee has been hard at work planning events for our 20th reunion this fall.  It will be a time to reconnect with friends, family, and professors, and visit old stomping grounds.  If you are not on the attached list of attendees, we hope that you will make plans to join us. 

The committee has also launched the Class of 1988 20th Reunion Giving campaign.  We would like to share with you some facts about giving, why we believe it is important, and our participation goal.  We also ask for your support.   

• Colorado College is ranked #26 of the top Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. by U.S. News and World Report.  Criteria include peer assessment, class size, graduation rates, faculty resources, student retention, and percentage of alumni giving.  High rankings assist in attracting the best students.     
  
• Colorado College is ranked #86 of the top Liberal Arts Colleges for average Alumni giving at 33%.  The difference between individual criteria rank and the composite rank is greatest in this area.           

• Giving as a cause.  40% of the cost of a CC education comes from our gifts and endowments.  Giving allows talented students to attend CC who might otherwise not have the ability to pay.  Giving also enhances the CC experience for all students, regardless of need, by providing for such things as language labs, field trip transportation, and library and art books.
  
• Class of ’88 Annual Giving is 24%.  120 of the 500 members of our class gave in 2007.
                   
• Class Participation Goal of 30%...we need only 30 more of us to participate this year to bring our group to 150.  100% of the Reunion Committee members have committed to give this year, regardless of past giving history.  If you are one of the 120 who give each year, we thank you and look forward to your continued support.
