Dear '83 Classmates,

Holy Cow! 25 Years, no way! Don't fight it, celebrate it. Yes, this fall, at CC homecoming, October 10-12, we will be having our 25th reunion celebration. Plan on attending. If you do, you will see firsthand the varied paths your fellow classmates have chosen and succeeded in. You will reconnect with many friends you have not seen in, well, ages. You will know them immediately and it will seem like yesterday when you last saw each other. Friendships will reform instantly. You will recognize us, not only because the years have been exceedingly kind to all of us, but because you remember the unique qualities each of us possessed, those qualities which were just kindling and a spark as we entered freshman year Block one, but developed rapidly within the C.C. environment, as each of us became the people we are now. Those qualities still define each of us.

You will walk the grounds you remember from College days, noticing a few new buildings around campus. Visit Garden of the God's, Murphy's, and the Golden Bee, or whatever your favorite haunts were back in the early 80's in Colorado Springs.

Our class of '83 already has an outstanding record of financial support with about one third of us giving annually. That's a pretty good average class participation rate, and in line with other classes at CC. It is more than double the DU participation rate of 14 percent. Our goal for this special year is that 50 percent of us make a tax deductible donation to the College. Please help us achieve that goal by sending a check, contributing online, or calling in a credit card at (800) 782-6306. Many of us will receive phone calls from students or alumni taking time out from their busy schedules to man the phones to ask for support and just chat with alumni and classmates. Please consider a special gift this year to let the Colorado College Community know "I remember".

As an additional incentive we will award free tickets to all homecoming sporting events, except hockey, to anyone who answers the following trivia questions:

          1. Our commencement speaker
            2. Murph’s first name
            3. Downtown statue on Nevada Ave.

Ok those are free tickets, but, the committee members collectively will pay an additional $10 to the fund for all classmates who answer all three questions correctly with their donation.
