Welcome!

Dear Class of '68:

Not to touch the earth. Not to see the sun. Nothing left to do but run, run, run . . . to your 40th CC reunion!

Let us reason together . . . Your first word, your first step, your first romantic kiss, and your 40th CC reunion are all things that only happen once. Don't miss out on the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center dedication, Project Bandaloop, Freedom & Authority, Friday and Saturday dinners, Sunday brunch, and a couple of special attractions and events your reunion committee has up its sleeve.

Don't trust anyone over 30 . . . except your Reunion Committee. We have been hard at work on your behalf. So make our day - yours too - by catching the CC spirit and getting behind your Reunion Committee's efforts to make the 40th something really special, a reunion to remember!

I have a dream . . . of 40% participation in the 40th. Come join us, revisit, reconnect, recapture, and return something - whatever you can afford - back to the CC community. Help keep the Black and Gold dream alive!

Good-night, Chet. Good-night, David . . . but tune in on October 10th - 12th for the Class of '68 Homecoming gathering and 40th reunion celebration. Better still, plan on being there - part of Homecoming Weekend's "top story." Be there or be square.

And that's the way it is . . . except for the details to be filled in later, so read those CC mailings. You don't want to miss out!

Challenge '68

Super Challenge Opportunity!
The class of 1968 has always been a change-making group. We have the opportunity to do it again during our reunion year. A group of classmates have assembled a $250,000 challenge to the class. How does it work? Pretty simple --

For any gift for any purpose:

• Every $1 from a class member from January 1, 2008 – June 30, 2008 will prompt an additional gift of $2 up to the total pledged by the challenge pool. You decide where your gift goes, the matching group members direct their gifts to the areas of their passions.
• Each $1 given from July 1, 2008- end of the reunion period brings an additional $1 from the challenge pool.
• Up to a total of the challenge pool funds.

To quote one of the members of the challenge group “now is the time we should all step up.” The class of ’67 had 44% of its class members make a reunion gift last year. Surely the class of ’68 can do better than that! And the match could very possibly get our class to the half-million mark, or more! That would be a pretty high mark for future classes to try to meet. Maximum match available through June 30 – act now!

Our Class Goals...
Our 40th Reunion Committee has set a 45% giving participation goal (131 gifts) in honor of our upcoming reunion! Any gift received between January 1 - December 31, 2008 will count toward our reunion goal.

So far 58 members from the class have given towards the challenge.

Make your gift today!
