Aren't there times when it seems like just yesterday that we gathered to collect our diplomas on CC's quadrangle that sunny Sunday morning in May, 1963?  It's only when we get those first looks at ourselves in the bathroom mirror each morning that the passage of 45 years is undeniable!

Despite the passage of all these years, it’s remarkable how frequently, in navigating one or another of the challenges that we have faced, in what have been interesting and eventful times, something from our undergraduate experience at Colorado College will assist in guiding us.  It’s appropriate, therefore, that we remember CC’s many contributions to our lives in the context of the goal that we, the 45th Reunion Committee, have established for giving to the College this year.

Our goal, in honor of this milestone anniversary is that, this year, 45 percent of our class make a contribution to the college.  During our reunion year any contribution received in 2008 will count toward our goal. Please take a moment to make a gift. Thank you for your willingness to give and be part of fulfilling our 45th reunion goal!

As you know from the first mailing you received, our 45th reunion will be held Homecoming Weekend, October 10 - 12, 2008.  The plans are now set for a great time!  In addition to many all-College events -- perhaps the most innovative of which will be a unique and special formal opening of the new Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center -- the Class of '63 will gather for its own dinner Friday evening at Tutt Alumni House and again Saturday evening at the Women’s Club (overlooking Monument Park, close to the Fine Arts Center).  To cap the Class of '63’s weekend’s festivities, our classmate, Michael Grace, has once again graciously invited us to Sunday morning brunch at his lovely home off Wood Avenue.
