Marlyn Burch
Marlyn began her career at CC more than 20 years
ago in the Admission office, typing thousands of labels on an
IBM Selectric typewriter. Now in the dean’s office at Armstrong
Hall, she has served under the past four deans – Glenn Brooks,
Dave Finley, Tim Fuller, and Dick Storey – and has mentored
countless other administrators and support staff. In keeping administrators
organized and on-task, Marlyn has touched the lives of thousands
of faculty, students and alumni. She is a CC parent, a fly fisher,
and an avid reader. She is retiring this year. When her retirement
was announced at a recent faculty meeting, many wondered aloud
who would run the College in her absence.
