Jim Enderson
A devoted ornithologist, Professor Emeritus Jim
Enderson has spent much of his life observing and aiding the peregrine
falcon’s struggle for survival. The artificial insemination
techniques he helped develop to raise captive breeding stocks
have been instrumental in bringing the magnificent bird back from
near extinction. He has devoted numerous days to educating alumni
during lectures and mini-blocks at the Baca campus. He makes nature
and the biological basis of Colorado wildlife exciting and accessible
to even the most non-scientific among us. At Homecoming this year,
Jim and other biology faculty will welcome former students back
to campus for a special reunion.
